Administering Medications in School
It is not the responsibility of the school or its employees to prescribe drugs, medications, or home remedies. Medications should be administered at home under the supervision of the parent/guardian when possible. However, some students require administration of medications or medical procedures to be performed during the regular school day. In those situations, the following procedures will be followed.

Students who need medication, including over the counter medication, during the school day must have a "written order of a licensed physician and written authorization of a parent/guardian." Medication must be brought to school in a container labeled by the pharmacy or physician. Also, for you and your child's protection, the medication must be brought to school by a parent or an adult.  It is the parent's responsibility to pick up all medications by the last day of school.  By Law, the school can no longer dispose of any unused medications.
